KATSEYE’s new single “Gabriela” is already making waves with its telenovela-inspired visuals, bold Latin-pop sound, and fiery lyrics. But the song’s backstory adds even more drama to its already cinematic rollout: it was originally written in 2019 for a potential collaboration between Rita Ora and Anitta.
The track—now reimagined by the rising global girl group—was passed over by the original artists and eventually found new life through HYBE x Geffen Records. “Gabriela” officially dropped on June 20 as the second single from KATSEYE’s upcoming debut EP, Beautiful Chaos, which arrives June 27.

Written by hitmakers Andrew Watt, John Ryan, Ali Tamposi, Charli XCX, and Sara Schell, “Gabriela” blends Latin flair, moody R&B, and cinematic pop to striking effect. What began as a demo built for major names in global pop now serves as a statement track for a new generation. With production by Watt and Ryan, the track showcases KATSEYE’s range and introduces their first Spanish-language verse, delivered by Daniela.
Adding to the excitement, the official music video stars Jessica Alba as the commanding CEO of “Gabriela Enterprises.” Styled like a telenovela, the video features the members of KATSEYE in full drama mode—fighting for power, status, and spotlight in a lavish boardroom showdown.
“Our music video for ‘Gabriela’ is vibrant, colorful, dramatic, and full of heart,” the group said in a statement. “We leaned into the world of telenovelas because they’re iconic and over-the-top in the best way. It’s all love, all homage—and definitely all drama.”
“Gabriela” debuted at No. 44 on Spotify’s Daily chart, becoming the day’s biggest new entry with over 2 million streams.
