Kid Cudi has removed M.I.A. from his Rebel Ragers Tour, citing “offensive” onstage remarks that prompted backlash from fans. The decision, announced via Instagram, arrives less than a week after the tour’s April 28 launch in Phoenix and immediately reshapes one of the summer’s most anticipated hip-hop runs.

In a statement shared with followers, Cudi made clear that concerns had been raised before the tour even began. He said his team had contacted M.I.A.’s camp in advance, requesting that no controversial commentary be included during performances. That request, he wrote, was not respected. “After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants,” Cudi explained, adding that he “won’t have someone on my tour making offensive remarks that upsets my fanbase.”

The removal follows a series of politically charged moments during M.I.A.’s recent opening sets, where comments about immigration reportedly drew criticism online and inside venues.

Launched on April 28 in Phoenix, the Rebel Ragers Tour is scheduled to hit 30 cities across North America in the coming months.
