The announcement brings together two of Laufey’s defining musical worlds: her jazz-influenced approach to traditional songwriting and her increasingly established place in Christmas music. Although she has not revealed the title of her contribution, the special’s official music lineup lists her performing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” produced by her longtime collaborator Spencer Stewart.
Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy follows the beloved beagle after he finds himself on Santa’s naughty list. With only 12 days until Christmas, Snoopy attempts to prove he deserves a place among the nice, eventually discovering that the holiday is about more than presents. The new animated special premieres globally on Apple TV on November 13.
Laufey joins an impressive musical lineup assembled for the production. John Legend contributes the original song “Get Ready,” produced by Raphael Saadiq, while Kamasi Washington and Leon Bridges collaborate on “Trying to Get There.” Emmy Award-nominated composer Jeff Morrow provides the special’s score.
The release also gives Laufey another opportunity to build on a holiday catalog that has become an annual tradition. Her A Very Laufey Holiday collection began taking shape with “Love to Keep Me Warm,” her 2021 collaboration with dodie, and continued with releases including “The Christmas Waltz,” “Christmas Dreaming,” “Winter Wonderland” and “Santa Baby.” In 2024, she introduced the original “Christmas Magic,” written with Spencer Stewart for the film Red One, before adding “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town” to the 2025 edition of the collection.
Her seasonal releases have developed into a substantial streaming presence. “Winter Wonderland” has surpassed 217 million Spotify streams, while “Santa Baby” has accumulated 95 million and “Love to Keep Me Warm” around 69 million. On the Billboard charts, “Christmas Magic” reached No. 56 on the Hot 100, marking Laufey’s first appearance on the chart, while “Santa Baby” peaked at No. 89.
