Leigh-Anne Pinnock, simply known as Leigh-Anne, has captured fans’ hearts with her first single as an independent artist. Released on July 18 via Virgin Music, “Been a Minute” won our weekly poll on X/Twitter with an impressive 83% of the total votes. The track is produced by Elijah “GYW Eli” Ross and Lasse Qvist, and it samples the 2001 classic “Work” by Masters at Work.

“Been a Minute” marks Leigh-Anne’s first release of 2025, as well as her first since departing Warner Records. It arrives just months after her debut solo EP No Hard Feelings—a project that celebrated her Barbadian-Jamaican roots. Fans have enthusiastically supported this new chapter of Leigh-Anne’s career, hailing “Been a Minute” as one of the best songs of the summer.

Rounding out our weekly poll are two albums: Sex Hysteria (6%), the second album by Jessie Murph, and the highly anticipated JackBoys 2 by Travis Scott, which closed out with 3%.
