The last New Music Friday of April 2025 was packed with several notable releases. Lorde made her comeback with the new single “What Was That,” her first song since her 2021 album Solar Power. It has already struck a chord with fans, reaching the top five on the Daily Global Spotify chart. Benson Boone, gearing up to release his sophomore album, unveiled “Mystical Magical” as the second single. Megan Thee Stallion kicked off her new era—the final part of a trilogy that includes Megan and Megan: Act II—with her brand new single “Whenever.” Linkin Park also treated fans to “Unshatter.”

As always, InMusic polled fans on X (formerly Twitter) to determine the week’s favorite new release. Linkin Park’s “Unshatter” emerged as the winner, receiving 49% of the vote, followed by “Mystical Magical” (23%) and “What Was That” (17%). Megan Thee Stallion’s “Whenever” came in last with 11%.

Released on April 25, “Unshatter” serves as the second single from the upcoming deluxe edition of their album From Zero, set to drop on May 16. The track is one of three new songs featured on the deluxe edition, alongside “Up From The Bottom” and “Let You Fade.” An official visualizer for “Unshatter” was released concurrently with the single. Linkin Park is currently on their From Zero 2025 World Tour, which kicked off on April 26 in Austin, Texas, with upcoming dates across the United States and Europe.
