BLACKPINK last released a group album, Born Pink, in 2022. The LP, which features the global hits “Shut Down” and “Pink Venom,” was a massive success, debuting atop the Billboard 200 and marking the first album by a female Korean act to top the chart. Since then, each member has focused on solo activities, including fashion campaigns, individual music projects, and acting roles. In December 2024, ROSÉ released her debut studio album Rosie, featuring the smash hit “APT.” In February 2025, JISOO unveiled her debut EP AMORTAGE, followed by LISA’s debut project Alter Ego. JENNIE completed the circle with her critically acclaimed debut solo album Ruby.
While LISA did not share specific details about the new album’s release date or concept, she offered a hint of what’s to come: “You have to be patient about it. It’s coming soon, I promise. It’s about time,” she said.
Beyond the new album, 2025 is shaping up to be a great year for BLINKs, BLACKPINK’s dedicated fan base. The quartet recently announced their 2025 World Tour, set to kick off on July 5 at Korea’s Goyang Stadium.
