LISA just lit up the stage at the Global Citizen Festival 2024 with a performance that thrilled fans. After making a grand entrance, the K-pop idol opened her set with her debut solo single, “LALISA.” However, the excitement peaked when the BLACKPINK member debuted a brand new song. Titled “Moonlit Floor,” LISA had teased it just a few days ago by sharing a snippet on her social media. She also hinted before her set that she would be performing new music.

Fans quickly recognized that “Moonlit Floor” samples a 90s classic. The song’s chorus revives Sixpence None the Richer’s 1997 hit “Kiss Me,” a track that continues to capture the essence of romance. The original song was a massive success, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, and peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. LISA’s version gives the timeless hit a modern twist, blending dance-pop elements with the original melody. After performing it, she wrapped up her set with “Rockstar” and “New Woman,” before expressing her gratitude to her fanbase, the Lilies. “And to all my amazing Lilies around the world, I love you so much,” she said.
“Moonlit Floor” is set to be released on October 3rd and follows the success of LISA’s recent singles “Rockstar” and “New Woman.” Both songs charted on the Billboard Hot 100, with “Rockstar” recently winning the MTV Video Music Award for Best K-Pop, further cementing LISA’s status as not only one of the biggest K-pop soloists but also a true global pop star.
