A rare and historic moment has unfolded on the UK charts this week, as Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles have both debuted at No. 1 simultaneously, marking the first time two former One Direction members have achieved a solo chart double in the same week.

Louis Tomlinson claims the top spot on the Official Albums Chart with How Did I Get Here?, his third studio release. The project enters directly at No. 1, becoming his second chart-topping album in the UK, following 2020’s Walls and 2022’s Faith in the Future.



At the same time, Harry Styles leads the Official Singles Chart with “Aperture,” which debuts at No. 1 and becomes his third UK chart-topper as a solo artist. The track serves as the lead single from his forthcoming fourth studio album, KISS ALL THE TIME. DISCO, OCCASIONALLY., scheduled for release on March 6.

The single’s arrival caps an extraordinary week for Styles. The global superstar is currently rewriting UK touring history with his upcoming Together, Together Tour, which includes a record-breaking 12-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Momentum continues across the charts as his entire catalog re-emerges. Styles’ 2022 smash “As It Was” re-entered the UK Top 40 at No. 28, marking its first appearance on the singles chart since 2024. He is also set to perform at the BRIT Awards 2026 on February 28.
