Madison Beer is taking this week’s new music race. According to InMusic’s latest fan poll on X, the singer’s newly released Locket Deluxe was voted the best new release of the week, beating out fresh projects from Kesha, Chris Brown, and Jenevieve featuring TWICE’s JIHYO.
The poll quickly turned competitive after Friday’s packed release schedule, but Beer ultimately secured the lead with 49% of the vote. Kesha’s explosive comeback single “ORIGAMI!” followed closely behind with 43%, while Chris Brown’s sprawling new album Brown earned 5%. Jenevieve and JIHYO’s collaborative single “Hvnly” rounded out the poll with 3%.

The result continues a strong commercial and fan-driven moment for Beer, whose Locket era has steadily expanded since the album first arrived in January 2026. The deluxe edition, released May 8, adds four new songs to the original tracklist, including the dreamy synth-pop single “Lovergirl.” The accompanying visual leans into romantic nostalgia and cinematic storytelling, with a cameo from NFL quarterback Justin Herbert.
Momentum around the project has been building for months. Earlier this year, locket debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200, becoming Beer’s first top-10 album in the United States. Internationally, the album also landed inside the top tier across several European markets, fueled by songs like “Make You Mine,” “Yes Baby,” and “Bittersweet.”
Timing also worked in Beer’s favor. Her Locket World Tour launches on Monday, May 11 in Krakow, just days after the deluxe release, meaning fans will immediately hear the new material performed live.
Kesha’s “ORIGAMI!” emerged as the closest challenger in the poll. Released independently on May 8, the hyperactive electro-pop track marks her first solo release of 2026 and previews the direction of her upcoming seventh studio album.
Chris Brown’s Brown generated heavy streaming numbers throughout the weekend despite its lower poll finish. The 27-track project includes collaborations with Bryson Tiller, Leon Thomas, Lucky Daye, GloRilla, and Sexyy Red, continuing Brown’s marathon-style album approach. Meanwhile, Jenevieve and JIHYO’s “Hvnly” gained attention for bridging alt-R&B and K-pop influences through a hazy, late-night atmosphere.
