Madonna has officially unveiled Confessions II: The Film, the first major visual companion to her upcoming album Confessions II. Released on June 8, the project is now available to watch on Madonna’s official YouTube channel, giving fans their first extended look into the world of her highly anticipated fifteenth studio album.
The film arrives less than a month before Confessions II is set to drop on July 3 via Warner Records, continuing the rollout of one of 2026’s most anticipated pop releases.
Directed by TORSO, produced by DIVISION, and supported by Dolce & Gabbana, Confessions II: The Film serves as a visual experience built around the first six songs from the album. The project includes “I Feel So Free,” “Good for the Soul,” “One Step Away,” “Bring Your Love” featuring Sabrina Carpenter, “Danceteria,” and “Read My Lips.”
Rather than functioning as a traditional music video, the film presents a connected narrative that introduces the aesthetic and themes of the new era. The release also boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring Arca, Archie Madekwe, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cole Palmer, Debi Mazar, Gwendoline Christie, Honey Dijon, João Pedro, Julia Garner, Kate Moss, Lourdes Leon, Odessa A’zion, Richard E. Grant, Sabrina Carpenter, and Shygirl.
The visual project marks the first substantial dive into the universe of Confessions II, a record that has steadily built momentum since Madonna wiped her Instagram account on April 14 before formally announcing the album one day later. Since then, she has revealed the project through a series of unconventional promotional moves, including tracklist posters appearing across major cities and an exclusive “Club Confessions” listening event in West Hollywood.
Excitement around the album intensified on June 4 when Madonna transformed New York City’s Times Square into an open-air dance floor with a surprise free concert presented by Grindr. The pop-up event doubled as a live preview of the upcoming record and featured performances from the new era, drawing thousands of fans to the TSX Stage while being livestreamed globally.
Musically, Confessions II represents a direct continuation of the sound Madonna first explored on her landmark 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor. The project reunites her with longtime collaborator Stuart Price and leans heavily into electronic and club-inspired production. Early singles “I Feel So Free” and “Bring Your Love,” her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, have already provided listeners with a glimpse of the album’s direction.
The release is particularly significant as it marks Madonna’s first full-length studio album since 2019’s Madame X.
