Madonna turned Times Square into a dance-floor spectacle on June 4, 2026, delivering a surprise free pop-up concert that doubled as a live preview of her upcoming album Confessions II. Presented by Grindr and staged at the TSX Stage, the 6:30 PM performance drew massive crowds in New York and was livestreamed across digital platforms.

The appearance comes just weeks ahead of Confessions II, set for release on July 3 via Warner Records, and one day before the premiere of its accompanying musical film. Conceived as a sequel to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor, the project reunites Madonna with longtime collaborator Stuart Price, continuing her return to club-driven electronic pop. The rollout has already been anchored by the single “Bring Your Love” featuring Sabrina Carpenter and the lead track “I Feel So Free,” both of which have shaped the sonic identity of the era ahead of release.

Madonna opened the set with “I Feel So Free,” the nu-disco single that first arrived on April 18. The track set the tone for a performance built around momentum and movement, with the crowd responding immediately as Times Square’s screens reflected the energy of the live show.

Momentum around Confessions II has been building since Madonna wiped her Instagram profile on April 14 before formally announcing the album the following day. Since then, she has steadily revealed pieces of the album’s world, including tracklist posters spotted in major cities and a private “Club Confessions” preview event in West Hollywood that introduced early material to select guests.

The upcoming release marks Madonna’s fifteenth studio album and her first full-length project since 2019’s Madame X.
