Megan Thee Stallion is heading to Broadway. The Grammy-winning artist has announced she will make her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, stepping into the role of Harold Zidler. Her strictly limited engagement will run from March 24 through May 17, 2026, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Zidler, the flamboyant impresario and master of ceremonies at the Moulin Rouge nightclub, has traditionally been portrayed by male actors. Megan’s casting marks a historic first: she becomes the first female-identifying performer to take on the role in any production of the musical worldwide.

Based on Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film, the Tony Award-winning stage adaptation is known for its maximalist spectacle. The show blends a jukebox score of contemporary pop hits with elaborate costumes and high-energy choreography, set against the decadent backdrop of turn-of-the-century Paris. Since opening in 2019, it has remained a box office draw, consistently attracting celebrity casting and global touring companies.

For Megan, the pivot to theater represents a notable expansion of her artistic résumé. Widely recognized for chart-topping singles such as “Savage” and “WAP,” as well as her album Megan, she has built a career rooted in commanding stage presence.

However, this is not her first acting credit. In 2023, she appeared in Dicks: The Musical, a film adaptation of the off-Broadway production F—ing Identical Twins. The project showcased her comedic timing and willingness to experiment outside traditional hip-hop spaces.
