Megan Thee Stallion was rushed to a hospital after falling ill during a performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway. The incident occurred during her ongoing debut run at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City, where she had taken on the role of Harold Zidler.

According to a statement confirmed to Billboard, the artist began feeling “very ill” mid-performance, prompting an early halt to the show. She was immediately taken offstage and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. No additional details have been released regarding the cause of her symptoms or her current condition.

The sudden interruption casts uncertainty over her strictly limited Broadway engagement, which began March 24 and is scheduled to run through May 17, 2026. Megan’s casting marked a historic moment for the production, as she became the first female-identifying performer to portray Zidler in any staging of the musical worldwide. Traditionally played by male actors, the character serves as the flamboyant impresario and central narrator of the show.

Her debut has been one of the most closely watched Broadway events of the spring season. Based on Moulin Rouge!, the Tony Award-winning adaptation has remained a major box office draw since its 2019 opening, driven in part by high-profile casting and its jukebox-style score.
