Taylor Swift fans are once again searching for clues. On June 15, the 36-year-old singer-songwriter was spotted arriving at Electric Lady Studios in New York City, immediately triggering speculation that work on her next studio album—widely referred to by fans as TS13—may already be underway.
The brief sighting quickly spread across social media platforms, where Swifties began dissecting every detail of the visit. While Swift has not announced new music or confirmed plans for a thirteenth studio album, the location itself carries significance. Electric Lady Studios has been closely associated with several phases of her career, making any appearance there enough to ignite theories about a new project.
Interest surrounding a potential TS13 era is particularly intense because of Swift’s long-documented connection to the number 13. Born on December 13, 1989, the Taylor Swift has repeatedly described it as her lucky number. Over the years, fans have pointed to a series of coincidences tied to the number, including turning 13 on a Friday the 13th and watching her debut album reach gold certification in 13 weeks.
That symbolism gives her next studio album an added layer of intrigue. If released, TS13 would mark not only a new musical chapter but also the arrival of the number that has become inseparable from Swift’s public narrative.
The timing of the studio visit has fueled speculation even further because Swift is currently enjoying another historic commercial peak. Her latest single, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her 15th chart-topper. The achievement allowed her to surpass Drake and Rihanna for the most No. 1 singles of any artist this century.
Another major record fell alongside it. “I Knew It, I Knew You” became Swift’s ninth No. 1 debut on the Hot 100, breaking the all-time record among female artists previously held by Ariana Grande. The Disney and Pixar collaboration also made history as the first Disney-affiliated song ever to debut atop the chart.
Success has continued to follow her most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl. Released on October 3, 2025, the project became the fastest-selling album in history, moving more than 4 million album-equivalent units during its opening week. The album spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and finished 2025 as the best-selling album globally.
