The ARIA Albums Chart sees major shakeups this week as the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack climbs to No. 1, while Aussie punk outfit FANGZ celebrates their first top 10 debut. As reported by ARIA, the KPop Demon Hunters album becomes the first animated film soundtrack to top the chart in over eight years—since Trolls held the spot for three weeks in early 2017. It’s also the first soundtrack of any kind to reach No. 1 since Barbie The Album in 2023.
KPop Demon Hunters dominates the Singles Chart too. Multiple songs from the soundtrack leap into the top 50, with “Golden” soaring from No. 8 to No. 2 and “Your Idol” breaking into the top 10 at No. 8. Other fast risers include “How It’s Done” (No. 21 to No. 11), “Soda Pop” (No. 27 to No. 12), “What It Sounds Like” (No. 25 to No. 16), and “Free” (No. 33 to No. 20).
