Spotify’s high-profile FC Barcelona partnership is officially entering its Olivia Rodrigo era. Ahead of El Clásico on May 10, the global superstar will not only become the youngest artist ever featured on the front of Barça’s iconic jersey, but she’ll also perform an exclusive intimate concert in Barcelona for her top Spotify fans on May 8.
The one-night-only event, tied to Spotify’s Billions Club Live series, arrives just weeks before You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love drops on June 12. Hosted at a still-undisclosed venue in central Barcelona, the invite-only performance will bring Rodrigo face-to-face with selected top listeners, transforming streaming loyalty into real-world access during one of football’s biggest global weekends. Spotify confirmed fans are being chosen based on listening activity, reinforcing the campaign’s fan-first strategy.
Her presence extends beyond the stage. For El Clásico’s return to Spotify Camp Nou on May 10, FC Barcelona’s men’s team will wear a special blaugrana jersey featuring Rodrigo’s “OR” logo in place of Spotify branding, while Barça Femení will debut the shirt earlier on May 6 against Levante. That distinction places Rodrigo alongside previous jersey takeover artists including Drake, ROSALÍA, The Rolling Stones, KAROL G, Coldplay, Travis Scott, and Ed Sheeran.
Rodrigo acknowledged the scale of the moment directly: “Seeing OR on a FC Barcelona jersey for El Clásico, I don’t even know how to process that. It’s been so fun seeing the jersey come to life… getting to perform for the fans who’ve been listening since day one, in a city like Barcelona, is going to be so special.”
Just days ago, Rodrigo announced The Unraveled Tour, a 65-date global arena run launching September 25 in Hartford, Connecticut, while lead single “Drop Dead” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 — making her the first artist ever whose first three album lead singles all opened atop the chart. Combined with her upcoming Saturday Night Live double-duty appearance on May 2, Barcelona now becomes another cornerstone in what is shaping up to be one of 2026’s biggest pop campaigns.
Beyond jerseys and stadium branding, Spotify and Barça are also releasing an Olivia Rodrigo capsule collection, including hoodies, scarves, bucket hats, and limited-edition apparel, with 1,899 collectible jerseys dropping May 1 at 10 a.m. CEST. Rodrigo will also curate a special Barça Matchday playlist for the occasion.
