Olivia Rodrigo continues her dominance in Australia, as You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love spends a second consecutive week at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The achievement extends one of the strongest album campaigns of 2026 while reinforcing Australia as one of Rodrigo’s most successful international markets.
The chart update gives Rodrigo another milestone in a career already filled with Australian success. After debuting atop the ARIA Albums Chart last week, her third studio album has now successfully defended its position, becoming the latest project to enjoy a multi-week reign following Sour and Guts.
With the latest chart, Rodrigo also becomes one of only four female artists to reach No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2026, joining Olivia Dean, Hilary Duff, and Maisie Peters.
Australia has consistently embraced Rodrigo’s releases. Sour spent eight weeks at No. 1 following its 2021 debut, while Guts ruled the chart for two weeks in 2023. Between those albums, she also reached No. 11 with Live From Glastonbury (A BBC Recording) in 2025.
The latest album has continued that momentum since arriving earlier this month. Beyond topping the albums chart, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love has posted massive streaming numbers worldwide, while singles including “Drop Dead,” “The Cure,” and “Stupid Song” have all contributed to one of the biggest pop eras of the year.
Elsewhere on this week’s ARIA charts, Taylor Swift returns to No. 1 on the Singles Chart with “I Knew It, I Knew You.” The song, featured in Toy Story 5, makes a dramatic climb after the film opened in cinemas last Friday. It debuted at No. 1 three weeks ago before falling to No. 11 last week, only to surge back to the summit following the movie’s theatrical release.
