Taylor Swift is adding another record to her ever-growing list of achievements. Just hours after releasing “I Knew It, I Knew You,” her original song for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, the superstar has reportedly broken Spotify’s record for the biggest single-day streams for a country song by a female artist.

According to Spotify, “I Knew It, I Knew You” became the most-streamed country song by a female artist in a single day on June 5, 2026. The milestone arrives less than 24 hours after the track debuted via Walt Disney Records and immediately ignited fan excitement across streaming platforms worldwide.

The achievement marks another major moment for Swift’s return to country-rooted storytelling. Written and produced alongside longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, “I Knew It, I Knew You” was inspired by Jessie’s emotional journey throughout the Toy Story franchise and serves as the centerpiece of the upcoming Toy Story 5 soundtrack.

Early projections suggest the song is also on track to debut at No. 1 on Spotify’s Daily Global Chart. If confirmed, it could secure the biggest opening day of 2026 for a female artist, surpassing the current benchmark set by Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead,” which opened with 10.7 million streams globally. The track is also expected to become the biggest debut ever for a soundtrack song on the platform.

Beyond Spotify, the release has dominated digital sales. Throughout June 5, “I Knew It, I Knew You” remained at No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Songs Chart.

The record-breaking debut follows an extensive promotional campaign that unfolded over several weeks. Beginning in late April, Swift and Disney launched a series of interconnected clues that included cloud-themed countdowns, Toy Story-inspired billboards, modified 1989 (Taylor’s Version) artwork, Empire State Building projections, and social media teases from both Swift’s camp and Pixar.

Additionally, Swift expanded the release with an official music video available exclusively to Spotify Premium and Apple Music subscribers. The visual blends scenes from Toy Story 5 with footage centered on Jessie, Buzz Lightyear, and several beloved characters from across the franchise’s nearly 30-year history.

Swift also reflected on the personal significance of the project in a heartfelt social media message. “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time,” she wrote. “Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once.”

The song marks Swift’s first new release since The Life of a Showgirl and arrives ahead of Toy Story 5’s theatrical release on June 19.
