Playboi Carti’s long-awaited album MUSIC is projected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 310,000 units, according to HITS Daily Double. The album is also on track to achieve the biggest U.S. streaming debut since Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department, making it one of the most significant releases of 2025 so far.

MUSIC has already shattered records, amassing 139.3 million first-day streams on Spotify, the highest debut for any album this year. Multiple tracks from the album dominated the Daily Global Spotify Chart, with “Evil Jordan” leading at No. 1 with 9.5 million streams, followed by “Crush” at No. 2 (7.8M) and “Rather Lie” at No. 3 (7.3M). In total, over 30 songs from the album charted within the Top 100, reinforcing Carti’s immense streaming power. To further fuel excitement, Carti released the official music video for “Evil Jordan,” giving fans a visual complement to one of the album’s standout tracks.
MUSIC marks the rapper’s first full-length release since Whole Lotta Red in 2020, which also debuted at No. 1.
