It’s already been a week since Playboi Carti released his highly anticipated third studio album, Music. The LP, also known as I Am Music, debuted with 134.5 million streams on its first day on Spotify, earning the biggest first-day streams for any album in 2025 and the seventh-largest debut in Spotify history. A week later, the album closed its first seven days with an impressive 483 million streams, as reported by ChartMasters. Of these, 197.6 million came from the U.S., where Music is leading the race for the top spot on next week’s Billboard 200.

Comparing streaming numbers to Carti’s previous LP, Whole Lotta Red, which debuted with 88.5 million streams, Music logged an impressive 446% increase.

Beyond its streaming success, Music had a strong first week on global charts. In both the UK and Australia, it debuted at No. 1, becoming Carti’s first chart-topping album in these regions. In the U.S., it is set to debut atop the Billboard 200 with around 300,000 units, as reported by Hits Daily Double. Additionally, the album’s fourth track, “Evil J0rdan,” achieved significant success, debuting in the top 10 on several global charts and earning the biggest debut on the Daily Spotify Chart of 2025.
