RAYE and Olivia Dean have opened 2026 at the top of the UK charts. The first Official Charts update of the new year sees both British artists claim major victories across albums and singles.
Olivia Dean secures the first Official No. 1 album of 2026 with The Art of Loving. The project returns to the summit for a third non-consecutive week. Adding to the achievement, The Art of Loving also tops the Official Vinyl Albums Chart.
On the singles side, RAYE continues her tradition of starting the year with a chart-topping moment. “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” rises to No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart in its 15th week, completing a slow-burning climb driven by streaming growth and viral traction. The track becomes RAYE’s second UK No. 1 single, following 2023’s “Escapism.” with 070 Shake.
Elsewhere on the albums chart, Sabrina Carpenter lands at No. 2 with Man’s Best Friend following the release of its bonus-track edition, while Short n’ Sweet re-enters the Top 10. Taylor Swift’s chart presence remains formidable, with The Life of a Showgirl holding at No. 3 and multiple catalog titles returning to the Top 40 as seasonal tracks exit the rankings.
Singles momentum also remains competitive. Dave and Tems reach a new peak at No. 3 with “Raindance,” while Olivia Dean dominates the Top 20 with four simultaneous entries, including “So Easy (To Fall In Love)” and “Man I Need.”
