Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have officially secured their place in UK chart history. Their duet “Rein Me In” has now spent a 15th non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart, tying one of the longest-standing records in British music.

The milestone puts “Rein Me In” alongside Wet Wet Wet’s 1994 hit “Love Is All Around,” which also logged 15 weeks at the summit following its inclusion in the Four Weddings and a Funeral soundtrack. No British single has spent more time at No. 1 in the history of the Official UK Singles Chart.

The achievement adds another remarkable chapter to what has become a defining release for both artists. Beyond matching the all-time British record, “Rein Me In” has now spent 37 weeks inside the UK Top 10, tying Harry Styles’ “As It Was” for the longest Top 10 run by any non-Christmas single. Its longevity has also extended across the wider chart, reaching 54 consecutive weeks inside the Top 40, equaling Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” for the longest uninterrupted stay in the region.

Elsewhere on this week’s Official Singles Chart, Olivia Rodrigo’s “stupid song” remains at No. 2 for a third consecutive week, while Michael Jackson’s timeless classic “Billie Jean” holds steady at No. 3.

The albums chart also delivers a major milestone. Muse debut at No. 1 with their tenth studio album, The Wow! Signal, earning the band their eighth Official UK No. 1 album. With the latest chart-topper, the British rock group now joins Oasis, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, R.E.M., and Westlife on the list of artists with the most UK No. 1 albums.
