JENNIE is taking her creative partnership with adidas Originals into new territory with her first-ever collaborative collection for the brand. Arriving September 1, the FW26 collection transforms familiar adidas silhouettes through ballet-inspired details, surreal imagery and JENNIE’s understated approach to modern femininity.
The collaboration marks a significant shift in JENNIE’s relationship with adidas. After several years as a global ambassador and campaign face, she now steps into the role of co-designer, giving her a direct hand in shaping the products rather than simply representing them.
Titled “Functional Grace,” the collection starts with the controlled movement and delicate construction of ballet before pushing those references somewhere more futuristic. JENNIE describes the concept as a meeting point between softness and strength, with the collection designed to feel both timeless and forward-looking.
“With this collaboration, I wanted to reinterpret the classic identity of adidas Originals through my own perspective and energy,” JENNIE says. “My goal was to bring together the softness and restraint found in ballet, as well as the strength behind it, with the feeling of an endless and unknown space.”
That contrast defines the collection. Traditional ballet codes appear through pointe-shoe-inspired shapes, wraparound constructions and leg warmers, while athletic staples such as track tops and track pants are reshaped with softer proportions and more considered detailing.
At the center is the SUPERSTAR SQ BALLET, JENNIE’s reinterpretation of the iconic Superstar silhouette. The shoe takes cues from a ballet pointe shoe, featuring a squared toe, ribbon detailing, premium leather construction and a soft lambskin lining. Removable laces add another styling option, allowing the familiar Superstar identity to shift between streetwear and something considerably more delicate.
JENNIE’s influence extends across the wider apparel range. The collection includes reworked track tops and pants, layering T-shirts, wrap skirts, knit wrap cardigans, sheer sleeveless bodysuits, sheer leggings and polar fleece half-zip hoodies.
Accessories complete the look without overwhelming it. High-knit leg warmers and cut-out socks reinforce the ballet influence, while the combination of soft-touch materials and streamlined silhouettes keeps the pieces grounded in everyday styling.
The campaign takes those ideas even further. “Cosmic Ballerina: Kinematics” places JENNIE in a dreamlike environment inspired by the cosmos, using movement and weightlessness to explore the relationship between the human body, strength and freedom.
JENNIE says the collection is intended to feel “cinematic and surreal, with a quiet but powerful presence,” a description that also explains why the collaboration feels distinct from a conventional celebrity fashion partnership. Her role is not limited to selecting colors or adding branding; the entire collection is built around a creative concept she helped develop.
The adidas Originals by JENNIE FW26 collection arrives September 1, just days after the release of her new Fallen Angel EP, creating a rare overlap between her music and fashion eras.
