Shakira delivered another unforgettable moment on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour by welcoming Tyla to the stage during her July 20 concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The surprise collaboration saw the two stars perform Shakira’s global anthem “Hips Don’t Lie,” sending the sold-out arena into a frenzy.
Fans erupted as Tyla emerged midway through the performance, joining Shakira to trade verses while dancing side by side.
The collaboration had been teased in recent weeks after Shakira publicly praised Tyla and confirmed that the South African superstar would appear as a special guest on select U.S. dates. Their chemistry in Brooklyn quickly justified the anticipation, giving the 2006 hit a fresh twist while preserving the infectious energy that has made it one of the biggest songs of the century.
Timing made the performance even more significant. Tyla is preparing to release her sophomore album, A*Pop, this Friday, while Shakira continues one of the busiest stretches of her career. Fresh off her acclaimed FIFA World Cup halftime show performance alongside Burna Boy, the Colombian icon has seamlessly transitioned back to her record-breaking world tour.
Only days earlier, Shakira and Burna Boy headlined FIFA’s first-ever World Cup halftime show with “Dai Dai,” the tournament’s official anthem.
The U.S. leg of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour resumed on June 13 at Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome, introducing “Dai Dai” to the setlist alongside “Zoo.” The tour has continued its extraordinary commercial run after becoming the highest-grossing Latin tour in history, surpassing $421.6 million across 86 shows by February 2026. During the same run, Shakira drew an estimated 400,000 people to Mexico City’s Zócalo before performing for more than 2 million fans on Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach in May.
