Miley CyrusBass Persuades has opened with 6.2 million Spotify streams in its first full day, marking the latest streaming milestone for her 10th studio album. Released September 18 through Atlantic Records, the project also reached No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes album chart on release day.

The opening-day Spotify figure places Bass Persuades below Miley’s two most recent studio albums. Endless Summer Vacation, released March 10, 2023, generated roughly 30 million Spotify streams in its first day. The album also benefited from the massive pre-release momentum of “Flowers,” which had already accumulated significant streams before the full project arrived. Something Beautiful followed on May 30, 2025, with 8.5 million Spotify streams during its first day.

Individual tracks from the Bass Persuades also registered on Spotify’s Daily Global chart. “Let’s Get Married” debuted at No. 121 with 1.422 million streams on release day, while the title track re-entered at No. 179 with 1.233 million.

“Bass Persuades” had already made a stronger first impression earlier in September. Following its release as the album’s lead single on September 3, the song debuted and peaked at No. 23 on the Daily Global Spotify chart with 2.46 million streams. Its latest chart appearance comes after the full album became available.

The album’s first-day performance arrives alongside a significant new chapter for Cyrus. Bass Persuades is her first studio album for Atlantic Records after leaving Columbia Records and the first project promoted under the mononym MILEY. The 10-track record moves between dance-pop, romantic pop and more atmospheric moments, with Cyrus previously describing it as a reflection of her relationship with fiancé Maxx Morando and her evolving relationship with self-love.

Miley Cyrus has also framed the album as a personal reflection of the past two decades. In a message shared around its release, she said the record came together quickly, connecting that pace to a career that has moved at full speed since she began pursuing opportunities that eventually made Los Angeles her home.

The title track has already provided a Billboard Hot 100 milestone, reaching No. 35 and becoming Cyrus’ 25th top-40 entry on the chart. The next stage of the era will move from streaming platforms to the stage when she makes her Hollywood Bowl debut on October 16 and returns for a second show on Oct. 18, with Model/Actriz opening.
