Stefanie Michaela is back with the new album Turning Pages. The LP marks her return to music after years devoted to raising her family.
Turning Pages arrives not only as a comeback celebrating her past, but also as a forward-facing statement. Michaela describes it plainly: “This album is my truth. The strength and love of my family, especially as a devoted mother of five, gave me the courage to return to music. I’m stepping into this next chapter with confidence because every tear, lesson, and late night prepared me for this moment.”
Produced largely by Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Keith Thomas, whose credits include work with Whitney Houston and Amy Grant, the album blends adult contemporary polish with confessional songwriting. Thomas co-wrote several tracks alongside Michaela and Stephanie Middleton, shaping a cohesive narrative about resilience and self-worth.
The album’s rollout began nearly a year ago, when Michaela launched this new chapter of her career and life with the single “Found In You.” At the time, the singer told InMusic that “after taking a step back from music due to some setbacks, I decided to get married and start a family.” However, her passion for making music never faded, and she added that “if you keep pushing it aside, you’ll never truly reach full contentment.”
A year later, the six-track project arrives as a statement, particularly for women and mothers. “I want women, especially mothers, to hear these songs and know it’s okay to choose yourself again,” Michaela says. “You don’t need permission. You don’t owe explanations. You’re allowed to write the next chapter exactly how you want it.”
Beyond the studio, Michaela has remained visible through performances at Los Angeles venues including The Hotel Café and The Mint, as well as through community partnerships such as the Agoura Hills Animal Shelter. Still, Turning Pages stands as the centerpiece of this chapter.
