SZA is showing love to Cardi B. Just hours after the release of Am I The Drama?, Cardi’s long-awaited sophomore album, the Grammy-winning R&B star reposted the project on her Instagram Stories with a glowing message: “Whole shit beautiful!!! Congratulations @iamcardib.”
The public shoutout arrives at a pivotal moment for Cardi. After more than seven years since her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy (2018), expectations for her second album were sky-high. Am I The Drama? delivers 23 tracks featuring star-studded collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, Summer Walker, Kehlani, Tyla, Lizzo, and even Janet Jackson (via a sample). The album has quickly dominated streaming platforms, shooting to No. 1 on US iTunes and Apple Music within hours of release. Twelve tracks also debuted on Spotify US.

SZA’s praise also carries extra weight given the recent swirl of controversy. Fans had speculated that Cardi’s track “Dead,” featuring Summer Walker, included an AI-generated outro mimicking SZA’s voice. The slightly robotic tone sparked intense debate about artificial intelligence in music, especially after SZA herself took to Instagram to criticize AI content, calling it “harmful” and “exploitative.”
However, Cardi’s camp swiftly shut down the rumors. Influencer and close friend Ken Barbie clarified that the outro vocals were simply Summer Walker’s voice pitched up in post-production, not an AI replica of SZA. Cardi’s team also denied any AI involvement.
