Taylor Swift has officially crowned her current favorite song — and it belongs to fellow pop star Tate McRae. During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 14-time Grammy winner gushed about McRae’s viral single “Tit For Tat,” revealing that it’s been on heavy rotation in her daily playlist. “You got to listen to it,” Swift told Fallon enthusiastically. “I have it full volume, over and over again, on repeat. It’s so good.”
Swift’s endorsement quickly made waves across social media, with fans of both artists celebrating the moment as a major pop crossover. Within minutes of the clip airing, Tate McRae reposted Swift’s quote on her Instagram Stories, adding an all-caps reaction filled with emojis: “Oh my godddddddddd, whaaaaaaaaaaat.”

The shoutout marks the second time in recent days that Swift has publicly praised McRae’s music. Just days earlier, during an interview with The Morning Mash Up to promote her new album The Life of a Showgirl, Swift named McRae among the three artists she’s “constantly streaming” at home, alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Sombr.
For Tate McRae, the moment is another milestone in what has been a remarkable rise. The Canadian singer-songwriter has steadily built her reputation as one of Gen Z’s defining pop voices. Her 2024 breakout album Think Later turned her into a global name with hits like “Greedy” and “Exes.” She followed it up with her first chart-topping project, So Close to What, in 2025 — featuring smash hits “Sports Car” and “Revolving Door.” Now, she earned her biggest solo debut on the Billboard Hot 100 as “Tit For Tat” landed at No. 3.
