Taylor Swift extends her historic chart momentum as “The Fate of Ophelia” reaches a new milestone on the Billboard Hot 100. The single now ties “Blank Space” as her second-longest-running No. 1 hit, securing a seventh week atop the chart. Only “Anti-Hero”—Swift’s longest-running Hot 100 leader—stands above it, with eight weeks at No. 1.

Swift’s dominance is not limited to the singles chart. The pop superstar also leads the Billboard 200 for a seventh consecutive week with The Life of a Showgirl, which continues to outperform nearly every release of 2025. The project earned 93,000 equivalent album units in the United States, driven largely by streaming. With this result, The Life of a Showgirl becomes the second album this year to spend its first seven weeks at No. 1, following Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem. It also becomes only the second album in Swift’s catalog—after The Tortured Poets Department—to debut at No. 1 and remain there for at least seven weeks.
This double-chart hold also makes history: Swift becomes the first artist ever to debut both a song and an album at No. 1 simultaneously and then maintain both positions for their entire first seven weeks. “The Fate of Ophelia” is also the first single since BTS’ “Butter” to spend its opening seven weeks at No. 1.
