September 2025 was nothing short of amazing for music enthusiasts. We witnessed the release of several new albums across multiple genres, from pop and R&B to rap and K-pop. Doja Cat returned to her pop roots with Vie, a genre-bending record that showcased her mastery in both singing and rapping. Ed Sheeran kicked off his brand-new symbol era with Play, an album that features several standout songs such as “Sapphire” and “Camera.” Twenty One Pilots closed their decade-long Clancy story with Breach.

In September, we also saw the rise of several new stars. Olivia Dean unleashed her sophomore album The Art of Loving, which spawned the hit single “Man I Need.” Former Little Mix members Jade and Perrie launched their solo careers with the debut albums That’s Showbiz Baby! and Perrie, respectively. Finneas (Billie Eilish’s brother and longtime producer) and Ashe joined forces for one of the best-crafted albums of 2025: The Dream. In addition, we witnessed the comebacks of Young Thug (UY Scuti), Cardi B (Am I the Drama?), and Mariah Carey (Here for It All), as well as Justin Bieber’s surprise drop Swag II, the second installment in his Swag era.
