1. “The Leak$” by Lil Baby

Lil Baby is kicking off September with “The Leak$,” set for release on September 5. The album plays directly into one of rap’s recurring challenges: leaks. After years of snippets and unfinished tracks circulating online, Baby is flipping the narrative by turning what could have been a setback into a statement. Originally scheduled for an August release, the LP saw several delays. On Instagram, he finally confirmed the release date with humor: “I Know I Know… Even Tho I Never Said Album Dropping On 15th, That’s My Bad! 9-5-25 The Leak$.” True to its title, the album is expected to feature reworked versions of previously leaked material alongside unreleased collaborations polished into a cohesive project. The guest list is stacked—Young Thug, Playboi Carti, Lil Yachty, Lucki, Veeze, and G Herbo all appear on the 16-track record.

2. “Play” by Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran is preparing one of the biggest pop comebacks of 2025 with “Play,” his eighth studio album arriving September 12. Unlike the quiet, folk-inspired introspection of “Subtract” (2023), this record is expected to be big, bold, and mainstream-focused. Sheeran has been rolling out the project with a single-a-month strategy, including the track “Sapphire,” which has already become a fan favorite. He has also filmed multiple music videos ahead of release, signaling a heavy promotional push. Other notable singles are expected to include “Azizam” and “A Little More.”

3. “Breach” by Twenty One Pilots

Twenty One Pilots are closing a nearly decade-long chapter with “Breach,” out September 12. The album completes the conceptual universe first introduced in “Blurryface” (2015) and expanded through “Trench” (2018), “Scaled and Icy” (2021), and “Clancy” (2024). The duo teased this release with cryptic Easter eggs, from Morse code messages to tour finale clues. Its lead single, “The Contract,” arrived on June 12. More recently, “Drum Show” was released as the second official single. To build anticipation, the band will host global listening parties starting September 6, offering fans an immersive experience nearly a week before the official drop. Produced by Tyler Joseph alongside Paul Meany, “Breach” will be supported by the Clancy Tour: Breach, set to kick off September 18 in Cincinnati.

5. “Am I The Drama?” by Cardi B

After years of delays, Cardi B is finally dropping her second studio album, “Am I The Drama?,” on September 19 via Atlantic Records. The follow-up to her Grammy-winning “Invasion of Privacy” (2018) comes after a turbulent creative process in which she scrapped more than 80 songs. Two singles have already been released: “Outside,” which entered the Billboard Hot 100 top 10, and “Imaginary Playerz,” released June 20 and August 15 respectively.

6. “Vie” by Doja Cat

Doja Cat’s fifth studio album, “Vie” (French for “Life”), arrives September 26 and signals another stylistic pivot. After the darker, abrasive textures of “Scarlet” (2023), she’s returning to pop with an ’80s-inspired sound shaped by collaborators like Jack Antonoff and Y2K. The lead single “Jealous Type” (released August 21) leans into retro synths, shimmering hooks, and a polished radio-friendly vibe. Recorded over three years at Miraval Studios in France, “Vie” promises to be a standout in Doja’s career. With her Ma Vie World Tour kicking off November 18 in Auckland, this album will likely anchor a massive new era for Doja Cat.
