The soundtrack to Wicked: For Good makes a powerful debut on this week’s ARIA Albums Chart, flying straight to No. 1 and marking another major milestone for one of the year’s most anticipated film releases.

Recorded primarily by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, the original Wicked movie soundtrack previously peaked at No. 3 in December 2024. This week, it surges from No. 30 to No. 15. While Wicked: For Good is not an Ariana Grande solo project, it still extends her remarkable chart legacy. The release becomes the sixth album featuring Grande to reach No. 1 in Australia, following My Everything (2014), Dangerous Woman (2016), Sweetener (2018), Thank U, Next (2019), and Eternal Sunshine (2024). The soundtrack also earns Cynthia Erivo her first No. 1 on the ARIA chart.

Elsewhere on the Albums Chart, Australian pop-punk band SoSo score a strong debut this week. Their first album, So Much For Second Chances, enters the chart inside the top five.

On the ARIA Singles Chart, Olivia Dean continues her impressive run. “Man I Need” remains at No. 1 for a second consecutive week. Her former chart-topping album The Art of Loving also climbs this week, moving from No. 4 to No. 2 as her ARIA Awards performance fuels renewed streaming momentum.

Meanwhile, Stray Kids achieve their biggest Australian hit to date. The South Korean group land the week’s highest new entry with “Do It,” debuting at No. 10. The track becomes their first top-ten hit in Australia, surpassing the previous peak of “LALALALA,” which reached No. 64 in 2023.
