Zara Larsson brought an unexpected guest to the stage during her Midnight Sun Tour stop at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre on Tuesday night (Sept. 29), turning the concert into a surprise collaboration with Sexyy Red. The two artists performed Red’s 2023 track “Lookin’ for the Hoes (Ain’t My Fault)” together, giving the Los Angeles crowd one of the tour’s most unexpected moments of the night.

Larsson welcomed Sexyy Red onto the stage with a hug before the pair launched into the performance, complete with synchronized, high-energy choreography. The appearance also paid off a musical connection that has already become part of Larsson’s live show: she regularly incorporates elements of “Lookin’ for the Hoes (Ain’t My Fault)” into her own 2013 hit “Ain’t My Fault,” creating a mash-up that has become a recurring highlight of the Midnight Sun era.

Larsson’s Greek Theatre appearance was also notable because it came immediately after one of the busiest stretches of her 2026 touring schedule. She performed at major festivals across North America and Europe throughout the summer, including Lollapalooza Chicago, Osheaga, Way Out West, Sziget, Flow Festival, Superbloom, Electric Picnic, All Points East, the iHeartRadio Music Festival, All Things Go and Portola in San Francisco on September 26 and 27.

The Los Angeles shows on September 29 and 30 are now serving as a bridge between that festival-heavy run and the next international leg of the Midnight Sun Tour. Larsson will continue through Asia, Australia and New Zealand before wrapping the current trek in Bangkok on November 1.

The tour remains closely tied to Midnight Sun, Zara Larsson’s fifth studio album, which arrived a year ago. The LP gave Larsson a new level of momentum in the U.S., including her first Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording for the album’s title track.

That momentum continued with Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, the remix companion released in May 2026, as well as her collaboration with PinkPantheress on “Stateside.” The remix featuring Larsson reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, while the singer also picked up Billboard’s Women in Music Breakthrough Award and American Music Awards recognition for Breakthrough Album and Collaboration.

Zara Larsson has also hinted that the Midnight Sun chapter could be approaching its final stretch. Days before the Los Angeles show, she reflected on summer ending and wrote that “when a season ends another one begins,” prompting fans to speculate about what could follow.
