Cardi B did not hold back during the opening night of her Little Miss Drama Tour. While headlining Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, on February 11, 2026, the rapper paused her performance to deliver an impassioned message defending immigrant fans in attendance.
The moment unfolded midway through the show, just before she launched into her 2018 smash “I Like It.” After asking how many Mexicans, Guatemalans, and other Latino fans were in the building — and briefly breaking into a playful rendition of Selena’s “Como La Flor” — Cardi shifted tone. Addressing the crowd directly, she said: “B-tch, if ICE comes in here, we gon’ jump they a—es… B-tch, I got some bear mace in the back. They ain’t taking my fans, b-tch!”
The comment, referencing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, drew loud cheers inside the arena. It was a spontaneous but pointed statement, underscoring Cardi’s long-standing outspokenness on political and social issues. Throughout her career, the Grammy-winning rapper has used social media and live platforms to discuss immigration policy, economic inequality, and voter engagement, often in direct and unfiltered language. Recently, the “WAP” hitmaker forcefully pushed back against a viral claim circulating on X after an AI-generated response alleged that her father, Carlos Almanzar, had a criminal past.
The Palm Desert concert marked Cardi’s first major headlining arena tour in seven years. The 35-date North American run supports her second studio album, Am I the Drama? While the show itself was structured around six theatrical acts blending new material with defining hits, the evening’s most talked-about moment arrived during that unscripted exchange.
Earlier in the set, Cardi moved through fan favorites including “Dead,” “Get Up 10,” “Money,” and “Press,” before pivoting to the Latin-leaning energy of “I Like It.” The show closed, as expected, with “Bodak Yellow,” the breakthrough single that reshaped her career trajectory nearly a decade ago.
