Don Toliver has officially announced his new album. The Houston-born artist revealed that his fifth studio album, OCTANE, will be released on January 30, marking a swift follow-up to his commercially successful 2024 era. The album will arrive via Cactus Jack Records in partnership with Atlantic Records.
The announcement was accompanied by a striking black-and-white trailer that leans into a cinematic, high-contrast aesthetic. The clip features the line, “From the twisted minds that brought you Hardstone Psycho comes a new frequency… a sound stirs in the cosmic void… the heavens whisper down to earth… igniting something deep within,” followed by the declaration, “Damn it, Don! The stars are dancing like drunk idiots!” Notably, the trailer samples “Chest Pain” by Malcolm Todd.
OCTANE follows Hardstone Psycho, released in June 2024, which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with over 76,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. That album featured a wide-ranging list of collaborators, including Travis Scott, Future, Metro Boomin, and Charlie Wilson.
The rollout for OCTANE has been unfolding quietly throughout 2025. Toliver first hinted at a new project during a live performance in March, before confirming album plans in a summer interview. The lead single, “Tiramisu,” arrived in September 2025. The album’s title was later revealed through exclusive merchandise distributed at ComplexCon, where Toliver also debuted his Icecream Board Flips sneaker collaboration with Reebok and Billionaire Boys Club. OCTANE will feature 18 tracks.
