Drake has once again stirred anticipation around his long-awaited ninth studio album, Iceman. In a brief but pointed Instagram Story update, the rapper shared a photo of a notebook bearing the handwritten words “Iceman 2026.” Moments later, he followed with a stark message: “Make Them Cry.”

The posts were fleeting. The impact was not. For months, Drake has been building Iceman through a slow drip of clues rather than a traditional rollout. The project, expected via OVO Sound and Republic Records, will mark his first full-length solo effort since 2023’s For All the Dogs. It also arrives in the aftermath of one of the most scrutinized periods of his career, including a public feud with Kendrick Lamar.

The album’s promotional arc has been unconventional. Beginning in 2024, Drake seeded the Iceman title through cryptic social media captions and the EP 100 Gigs. In 2025, collaborator Smiley hinted that “hard work” was underway. By summer, Drake turned to YouTube livestreams branded as “Iceman: Episode 1,” “Episode 2,” and “Episode 3.” Each episode blended performance art with music previews, from driving an Iceman-branded truck through Toronto to surreal scenes featuring Pinocchio figures.

Three singles have surfaced so far: “What Did I Miss?”, “Which One” featuring Central Cee, and “Dog House” with Yeat and Julia Wolf. Each release was paired with a livestream moment, though it remains unclear whether all will appear on the final tracklist.

Behind the boards, familiar names are attached. Producers Tay Keith and Oz — both long-time Drake collaborators — are confirmed contributors. Reports have also pointed to sessions involving Gordo, alongside rumored collaborations with 21 Savage and Playboi Carti.
