Kanye West’s planned return to Poland has been abruptly shut down, just two days after it was first announced. The June 19 stadium show at Stadion Śląski has been cancelled after the venue terminated its agreement, following intervention from Poland’s culture minister.
The concert, unveiled on April 15 as part of the YE — TOUR 2026, was set to mark Ye’s first headline performance in the country in over 15 years. Officials moved quickly to block the event, with the culture minister publicly stating it was “unacceptable” for the rapper to perform. Stadium management subsequently ended the contract, effectively pulling the plug on what would have been one of the region’s highest-profile hip-hop shows this summer.
The Poland date was announced just hours after Ye confirmed the postponement of his Marseille concert, citing a personal decision amid reports that French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez was exploring legal avenues to stop the show.
Momentum had briefly suggested a major comeback run. Earlier this month, Ye returned to the stage in the United States with two shows at SoFi Stadium, performing material from his new album Bully alongside catalog staples. Appearances from Travis Scott, André Troutman, and Lauryn Hill reinforced the scale of the production.
Elsewhere, plans have already unraveled. The UK government barred Ye from entering the country, forcing the cancellation of his scheduled appearance at Wireless Festival 2026 and triggering full refunds for ticket holders.
The now-cancelled Poland show carried symbolic weight. Ye last performed in the country on August 20, 2011, during the Coke Live Music Festival, sharing the bill with Interpol, The Kooks, and Kid Cudi during the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy era. A return in 2026 had the potential to reconnect that history with a new chapter, but the opportunity has quickly dissolved.
