Lil Uzi Vert has marked his 31st birthday with a surprise new project. The rapper released Maverick ‘Almost Forever’ on Friday, July 31, 2026, delivering an eight-track EP that arrives just hours after his scheduled Lollapalooza performance in Chicago was canceled due to travel complications.
The new EP is currently available only on Apple Music and Audiomack at the time of publication, giving the project an unexpected and limited initial release. Its eight-song tracklist includes “Maverick Intro,” “Go!,” “Poured,” “223,” “Yoko,” “Gas. Brake.,” “Say It Was” and “London Bonus.”
Maverick ‘Almost Forever’ marks Uzi’s first project in nearly two years, following Eternal Atake 2, which arrived on November 1, 2024, through Generation Now and Atlantic Records. The album served as the sequel to 2020’s Eternal Atake and followed 2023’s Pink Tape, extending the mythology surrounding one of Uzi’s most recognizable album eras.
Commercially, Eternal Atake 2 debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 59,000 album-equivalent units in its opening week. The project featured a sole guest appearance from Big Time Rush, while its production included contributions from Cashmere Cat, Brandon Finessin, Henney Major, Lil 88, MCVertt, Charlie Puth and WondaGurl.
The arrival of Maverick ‘Almost Forever’ also gives Uzi a new chapter to build on after a relatively quiet period between major releases. The EP’s cover art features a hidden message, teasing a full length album: “ALBUM AFTER THIS.”
Its release also adds an unexpected twist to an already eventful day for Uzi. He was scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza 2026 in Grant Park at 6:40 p.m. CT on Friday, but festival staff announced that his appearance had been canceled because of travel complications.
Notably, Lil Uzi Vert recently started a new chapter of his career. In November 2025, the rapper joined Roc Nation Distribution after gaining full ownership of his masters, marking a new era of independence and creative control.
