Rick Ross fans will have to wait a little longer for his new album Set In Stone. While the rapper has not publicly addressed the change, Set In Stone no longer appears scheduled for its originally announced June 12 release date and is now listed on Apple Music for July 17, 2026.
The quiet delay comes just days before the album was expected to arrive, pushing Ross’ long-awaited comeback back by five weeks. As of publication, neither Rick Ross nor his team have issued an official statement explaining the revised timeline.
Set In Stone was first announced on May 8 as Ross’ 12th studio album and his first solo LP in nearly five years. The project is set to contain 19 tracks and is being released through Maybach Music Group under an exclusive license to Gamma. Alongside the announcement, Ross unveiled cover art that leaned heavily into the luxury-rap aesthetic that has become synonymous with his brand, depicting the rapper draped in fur and diamonds against a marble-inspired backdrop.
One of the album’s early focal points is “Minks in Miami,” featuring French Montana and Max B.
The upcoming project carries added significance because it follows Richer Than I Ever Been, released in December 2021. That album debuted at No. 22 on the Billboard 200 and featured appearances from Future, 21 Savage, Jazmine Sullivan, Wiz Khalifa, Benny the Butcher, and Wale. Despite maintaining a visible presence in hip-hop culture, Ross has largely avoided launching another major solo album campaign since then.
His most substantial release in the interim arrived in November 2023 with Too Good to Be True, a collaborative album alongside Meek Mill. The project reunited two of Maybach Music Group’s most recognizable figures and featured guest appearances from Future, Teyana Taylor, DJ Khaled, French Montana, and Shaquille O’Neal.
