CORTIS are extending the era of their second EP GREENGREEN with a new digital project, GREENGREEN_playextended, arriving August 24. The release will feature two previously unreleased songs, “PACK IT UP” and “MONEYMONEYMONEY,” both of which were first performed live during the group’s 2026 CORTIS TOUR  BIRTHDAY PARTY.

According to BIGHIT MUSIC, the two tracks were originally created during the recording process for GREENGREEN but were ultimately left in the group’s archive. The agency said they were selected for the new EP because they “best reflect” who CORTIS are today, giving fans an expanded look at the creative direction that has developed since the original project.

GREENGREEN_playextended is positioned as a direct extension of GREENGREEN rather than a completely separate release. The title itself reflects that concept, with the two new songs offering material that was conceived during the same creative period but is now being presented in a new chapter of the group’s current era.

The release arrives as CORTIS continue a rapid rise barely a year after making their debut. GREENGREEN, released May 4, 2026, became the group’s second EP and delivered their biggest commercial results at the time, reaching No. 1 on the Circle Album Chart, and No. 2 on the Oricon Albums Chart.

In the United States, GREENGREEN debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Top Album Sales chart after selling 81,500 pure copies during its opening week. The project also surpassed 2.3 million first-week sales in South Korea, while its lead single “REDRED” collected multiple music show wins.

The Lollapalooza appearance followed the live debut of “MOTION (feat. Juicy J)” and came during the group’s ongoing Put Your Phone Down World Tour. The tour launched with two sold-out concerts at Inspire Arena in Incheon before expanding across North America, Seoul and Japan.

CORTIS have continued building that momentum onstage. On August 1, the group made its first U.S. festival appearance at Lollapalooza Chicago, where an estimated 50,000 fans gathered around the T-Mobile Stage despite weather-related delays. James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon and Keonho performed an 11-song set, with approximately 167,000 viewers also watching the performance through Weverse Live and Disney+ audiences tuning in from 185 countries and regions.
