Yeat is tapping back into one of the most unexpected viral moments of his career. On June 17, the rapper released “Million Dollar Minion,” a new single that serves as a sequel to his 2022 breakout crossover hit “Rich Minion.”
Arriving ahead of the upcoming Minions & Monsters film, which hits theaters on July 1, 2026, the track reunites Yeat with the playful, internet-breaking energy that helped turn “Rich Minion” into a cultural phenomenon during the Minions: The Rise of Gru era.
“Million Dollar Minion” wastes no time establishing its connection to its predecessor. The song opens with recognizable Minion-inspired laughter and vocal effects before launching into booming bass, sharp trap percussion, and the futuristic production style that has become synonymous with Yeat’s sound. Throughout the track, the rapper leans heavily into wordplay, blending references to “minions,” “millions,” money, and luxury in a barrage of rapid-fire flows and ad-libs.
While the original “Rich Minion” gained momentum through the Gentleminions TikTok trend, a viral fan movement, and a widely shared music video directed by Cole Bennett for Lyrical Lemonade, the new installment arrives with a different context. Yeat is no longer the emerging artist who scored an unlikely movie soundtrack hit in 2022. Instead, he enters this release as one of rap’s most commercially consistent stars.
The single follows ADL, Yeat’s sixth studio album, released on March 27, 2026. The ambitious double album, divided into A Dangerous Lyfe and A Dangerous Love, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with 57,000 album-equivalent units in its opening week.
Yeat’s “Million Dollar Minion” is out now on all streaming platforms.
