Rihanna has added another milestone to her streaming legacy. “B**ch Better Have My Money” has officially surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the 20th song in her catalog to reach the landmark achievement.

With the milestone, Rihanna becomes the first Black female artist in Spotify history to earn 20 songs with more than 1 billion streams each. The achievement places her in elite company among female artists on the platform, joining Taylor Swift, who currently has 28 songs above the mark, and Ariana Grande, who has 22.

Released on March 26, 2015, “B**ch Better Have My Money” marked a bold shift in Rihanna’s musical direction. Following the acoustic-leaning “FourFiveSeconds,” the track embraced a harder-edged trap sound and featured contributions from Bibi Bourelly, Kanye West, Travis Scott, WondaGurl, and Deputy. Its aggressive production, unapologetic lyrics, and memorable hook helped it become one of Rihanna’s signature records of the 2010s.

The song enjoyed strong commercial success upon release, reaching the top 10 in several international markets and cracking the top 20 in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Its cinematic music video, released in July 2015, generated widespread conversation and remains one of the most recognizable visual releases from Rihanna’s career.

Notably, among Rihanna’s biggest Spotify successes, “We Found Love” leads with more than 2.5 billion streams, followed by “This Is What You Came For” at over 2.3 billion and “Umbrella” with more than 2.2 billion streams.
