Nine months after the release of their second mini-album, izna return with SET THE TEMPO, a project that feels both confident and purposeful. Released on June 8, 2026, the five-track EP pushes the group toward a more refined sound while reinforcing the message that has defined this comeback: finding your own rhythm instead of following someone else’s.
From its opening moments, SET THE TEMPO presents a stronger and more cohesive musical identity than anything the group has released so far. izna build the project around a central idea of self-determination, allowing each song to contribute to a larger narrative.
Leading the release is “METRONOME,” a polished house-pop anthem that instantly establishes the album’s direction. Built around a sleek rhythmic pulse, the track compares the constant beat of a metronome to the group’s determination to stay focused amid outside expectations. Its addictive hook and sophisticated production make it an obvious centerpiece.
Momentum continues with “R.I.P.,” which shifts into shimmering synth-pop territory. Driven by atmospheric production, the song balances dreamlike melodies with surprising intensity.
