After a two-year break from releasing music, French dark-pop artist Bliss My Heart (Jen) returns with a striking new single, “Sinner Sinner,” co-created with longtime collaborator and now official bandmate Cliff Estatof. Premiering via Tweny Music, the track marks a fresh creative chapter for Bliss My Heart—one that delves deeper into themes of sin, resilience, and emotional healing through a darkwave lens. A first step in this direction was “Suffer Well,” released earlier this year and also produced by Cliff.
In this exclusive interview with InMusic, Jen and Cliff open up about the making of “Sinner Sinner,” a haunting yet cathartic anthem born from a shelved demo and shaped by shared influences like Depeche Mode, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains. Originally written under the working title “Wolf” in 2020, the track has evolved into a full-fledged duet, with both artists contributing vocals, lyrics, and production.
More than just a single, “Sinner Sinner” marks the beginning of a deeper collaboration. Cliff is now officially part of the BMH project, and together, the duo is already planning new releases for later this year. In their words, this partnership is rooted in mutual respect, creative freedom, and a shared love for the gritty, introspective spirit of ’80s and ’90s rock.
Here, they talk about the song’s origin, their artistic chemistry, and what lies ahead for Bliss My Heart’s next era.
Can you tell us about your new single, “Sinner Sinner”?
Jen : After ‘ Suffer Well ‘ I released last January and how I was satisfied about my collaboration with Cliff Estatof, I asked him if he would be down to work on a new song, I sent him an old demo I wrote, he agreed to work on and that’s became ‘ Sinner Sinner ‘ !
Cliff : Sinner Sinner is a shared artistic project, from a sound idea by Jen, then arranged by myself. The text is also a 50% collaboration.
What is the meaning behind this song?
Jen : It’s two meanings ; one dark side with the sins someone can do to yourself, one light side with the resilience and taking back control to your life and your own emotions.
Cliff : Sinner Sinner is about sin, suffering and acceptance. There’s a symbolism in the video clip with a poppy.
What was the starting point for writing it?
Jen : It’s an old demo I wrote in 2020. I called it ‘ Wolf ‘. I always wanted to release it but for some reason I didn’t. I thought it was the right time so last April I sent it to Cliff with some lyrics I wrote with especially the words ‘ Sinner . He sent me back with more guitars, some synth, new better lyrics and his voice. I told him ‘ We have to keep your voice, so let’s sing together ‘. He wrote the chorus and I found ‘ Sinner Sinner ‘ perfect for the title.
Cliff : The words “Sinner” and “Lost Boy” are the starting points for the writing part.
The production on “Sinner Sinner” has a haunting yet empowering tone. What influences played a role in shaping its sound?
Jen: The demo was very new / dark wave so I wanted to keep this sound and then I let Cliff do everything he wanted to !
Cliff : Clearly “Depeche Mode” “Nirvana” & “Alice in Chains”.
Cliff, you’ve officially joined BMH as the second half of the project. How does your artistry fuse with Bliss My Heart’s?
Cliff: Jen and I share the same love for Depeche Mode, but more broadly for the music of the 80s and 90s, from Dark Wave to Hard Rock and Grunge. I also think we share the same pessimistic view of the world. So the way we see music is a direct match.
Bliss, after a long journey as a solo artist and a recent two-year break to tour-manage and travel, how do you feel about this new partnership?
Jen: I feel very grateful that my long journey made me meet Cliff and his wife Camille who became one of my best friends.Then start a new part of Bliss My Heart’s project with Cliff. We share the same love for 80’s dark & new wave and rock N’Roll, so it’s very satisfying that we can release a music project together and understand each others on music references.
You’ve hinted at a new collaboration before the end of the year. Can you share anything about what’s next for BMH & Cliff Estatof?
Cliff: There are several singles in the pipeline. And I really think they’re going to surprise.

Cliff: The World is sad, so, make it better and have fun.
Jen: Open your eyes, believe in yourself, in good intentions and the universe, you’ll see you can do everything you want !
