It was January 2023 when we first spoke with country singer Chris Greiner, better known as JustChris. At the time, the Bucks County native was taking his first steps into the music scene, with his debut single, “You Never Loved Me,” beginning to gain recognition. During that conversation with InMusic, Chris introduced his single “All Night Long” (recently re-recorded) and shared his admiration for country star Zach Bryan. “He would definitely be an artist I’d love to collaborate with,” he said. Two years later, much has changed. Chris’s hard work has paid off, culminating in the opportunity to open for the Grammy-winning Zach Bryan at the Official Pre-Show Tailgate. “Things have been surreal,” he reflects. Between 2023 and 2024, Chris released several singles, including “Flowers In The Field” and “Until Then,” while focusing heavily on live performances.
Now, as 2025 begins, Chris is preparing to release new music, with a key date circled on the calendar: February 21st. His new single, “Northeast Native,” is set to drop in just over a month, and an EP may also be on the horizon. Two years after our first conversation, Chris caught up with InMusic once again to reflect on his journey and share insights into his upcoming single, “Northeast Native.” Read on for the first part of this two-part interview.
How do you feel your music has evolved over the past two years?
It has been an incredible journey. A highschool kid making beats and teaching guitar to himself emerged into something nobody expected. Since then, I’ve been given the opportunity to perform on incredible stages that I would never have even dreamed of. My most memorable was opening for Zach Bryan at the Official Pre Show Tailgate before his two sold out shows in Philadelphia. Things have been surreal and it just keeps getting better.
In our first conversation back in early 2023, you introduced your single “All Night Long,” a story about “a guy who fell in love with a girl and wouldn’t give up.” At the time, you mentioned it wasn’t based on personal experience. Two years later, have you encountered a moment like that in your own life?
I guess we will have to wait and see……
A few months ago, you released a remastered version of “All Night Long.” What was it like revisiting and reworking the song?
My incredible producers John Marvin and Dylan Feszko played a huge role in the track. Recording a few instruments and vocals really brought the track to life. It was a song and genre I dabbled in at the start of my career and had no idea it was where I was heading. Now that I am fully into the country scene, I figured a remastered version was necessary. We got in the studio and got it done!
Since we last spoke, you’ve performed live extensively. Which song do you enjoy performing the most, and why?
The Band (JustChris & Co) and I have grown to love “Nine Ball” by Zach Bryan. We usually open or end sets with it because of its high energy solo section near the end. It is a song that hits all of our skills and gives us an opportunity to shine for the audience and showcase who we really are as artists.
Your new single, “Northeast Native,” is set to release on February 21st. Can you share a preview of what listeners can expect from this track?
This song is my life, story, and time to be vulnerable with my audience. Verses consisting of struggles and hardships with no end in sight. Then, capped off with a sense of hope in Jesus.
The chorus is an exclamation of how simple this life is. “I’m a Northeast Native, Jesus praying, messed up American Kid”. We all are messed up, imperfect, and struggle daily. However, God loves us and forgives us immensely. This saving grace that we can be forever grateful for.
It later continues with, “Far from perfect, feeling worthless, stick to what I know best”. All real mindsets I’ve been through but have overcome and will continue to triumph with God. I’m excited for you to hear my life and soul drawn out into a musical composition.

Exhilarating, Exhausting, Exemplary
Looking ahead, what are your biggest goals or aspirations for 2025?
