aespa are expanding their individual identities beyond the group with the release of SYNK : COMPLæXITY – 2026 Special Digital Single, a four-track project featuring solo songs from KARINA, WINTER, GISELLE and NINGNING. The release follows the opening shows of the group’s 2026–27 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : COMPLæXITY and arrives as the quartet continues its rapid international growth.

The digital single includes KARINA’s “16 Bit,” WINTER’s “Saddle Up,” GISELLE’s “BYEB4HELLO” and NINGNING’s “I Love You But I Gotta Let You Go.” Each track was first performed during aespa’s two Seoul concerts at Gocheok Sky Dome in August, giving fans an early look at material that would eventually become part of the group’s official discography.

KARINA’s “16 Bit” uses fragmented pixels as a metaphor for losing sight of yourself, while her involvement in the lyrics adds another personal layer to the track. WINTER takes a more confident approach on “Saddle Up,” built around the idea that actions carry more weight than promises. GISELLE turns toward the frustration of impossible love with “BYEB4HELLO,” while NINGNING’s “I Love You But I Gotta Let You Go” focuses on the emotional difficulty of walking away from someone you still love.

The release also highlights aespa’s growing creative involvement outside their group performances. GISELLE and NINGNING participated in both the writing and composition of their respective songs, while KARINA contributed lyrics to “16 Bit,” giving each member a more defined role in shaping her solo material.

SYNK : COMPLæXITY arrives after a major year for aespa. Their second full-length album LEMONADE debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200, while reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and No. 2 on Top Album Sales.

Their current world tour has provided an even clearer picture of the group’s growth. aespa opened the 2026–27 run with two sold-out Seoul shows at Gocheok Sky Dome, drawing 35,000 fans across the two nights, before traveling to Taipei Dome and then Latin America for their first tour dates in the region in three years.

São Paulo delivered one of the tour’s biggest moments, with more than 21,000 fans attending the group’s concert. The figure marked the largest audience for a fourth-generation K-pop girl group in Brazil and the second-largest audience for a K-pop girl group overall, according to the group’s announcement. Sold-out shows in Santiago, Lima and Mexico City followed.

Now, aespa is taking that momentum into North America before returning to Europe and the U.K. The tour includes stops at major arenas in Hamilton, Belmont Park, Washington, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle and Vancouver before its European run begins in January 2027.
