BLACKPINK is marking its 10th anniversary with an intimate fan event in Seoul. On August 6, the group officially announced a special 10th Anniversary Meet & Greet, giving a limited number of BLINKs the opportunity to celebrate the milestone alongside the members on the exact anniversary of their debut.

According to an official Weverse notice, the event will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Seoul, South Korea. The precise venue will remain confidential and will only be shared with selected participants. Applications opened immediately after the announcement, with winners set to be revealed through Weverse the following day.

The event is exceptionally exclusive. Just 40 fans will be selected at random from those who maintained an active BLACKPINK Weverse Membership by July 31, 2026. Participants must also be at least 15 years old and present a valid government-issued photo ID for verification before entering the venue.

One detail that immediately sparked discussion among fans is the notice stating that attendance will depend on the members’ individual schedules. The wording suggests that not all four members—Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa—are guaranteed to appear, leading some BLINKs to express disappointment online while others welcomed any opportunity to celebrate the occasion with the group.

The meet-and-greet arrives exactly 10 years after BLACKPINK debuted on August 8, 2016, with the single album Square One and its double title tracks “Whistle” and “Boombayah.” Over the past decade, the quartet has become one of the biggest global acts in K-pop history, breaking records across streaming platforms, album sales and worldwide touring while each member simultaneously built successful solo careers.

The anniversary follows another busy chapter for the group. BLACKPINK released the single “Jump” in 2025 before returning with the EP Deadline in February 2026, which recorded the highest first-week sales for a K-pop girl group at the time. The accompanying Deadline World Tour concluded earlier this year after performances across multiple continents.

Outside the fan event, the group’s 10th anniversary celebrations have remained relatively modest. YG Entertainment recently unveiled the BLACKPINK Heritage Collection in collaboration with MU:DS, the National Museum of Korea’s merchandise brand, featuring seven lifestyle products inspired by traditional Korean artifacts and reimagined with the group’s signature black-and-pink aesthetic. Weverse members are also receiving a commemorative anniversary badge.
