BTS transformed late-night television into a museum-scale spectacle on March 25, delivering a special performance of “SWIM” for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon from inside the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Instead of the traditional studio stage, the group opted for an intimate, pre-taped set in one of New York City’s most recognizable architectural spaces.

Filmed earlier that week, the performance unfolded in the Guggenheim’s multi-level spiral rotunda, with roughly 150 invited fans. Phones were not permitted, reinforcing the controlled, immersive atmosphere as the group moved through the venue’s main lobby and upper levels.

Alongside the performance, BTS also appeared in the studio for an interview segment, discussing the creative direction of the album and outlining expectations for their upcoming global tour. A second televised performance is already scheduled for the March 26 episode, extending the group’s multi-day takeover of Fallon’s platform.

The appearance arrives amid a tightly coordinated comeback cycle. Released on March 20, Arirang opened with 110 million streams on Spotify in its first day, driven by tracks including “SWIM” and “Body to Body.” Twenty-four hours later, the group staged a large-scale concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, drawing more than 70,000 attendees on-site. That event reached an additional 18 million viewers via a global livestream on Netflix.

Each component of the rollout feeds directly into the next phase. The Arirang World Tour launches on April 9, 2026, in Goyang. A behind-the-scenes documentary tied to the album is also set to premiere on Netflix later this week, further extending the project’s narrative beyond music releases alone.
