Just hours after its release, Blackpink’s new EP Deadline has recorded the highest first-day sales ever for a girl group on the Hanteo Chart. As of the latest update, the project has sold a on its first day, setting a new benchmark in Hanteo history.

The record places Deadline above some of the most commercially powerful releases in recent K-pop memory. BLACKPINK now occupy both the No. 1 and No. 5 positions on the all-time girl group first-day sales ranking, with 2022’s Born Pink previously moving 1,011,266 copies in its opening 24 hours. Between those two milestones sit major sellers from aespa, NewJeans, and LE SSERAFIM.
