JENNIE reached another career milestone on Saturday, August 1, becoming the first female Korean and K-pop solo artist to headline Lollapalooza Chicago. Taking over the Bud Light Stage at Grant Park, the BLACKPINK star delivered a hit-filled performance that celebrated the success of Ruby while introducing fans to the next chapter of her solo career.

Running for approximately one hour from 8:55 p.m. CT, the set blended chart-topping singles, striking visuals, live instrumentation, and four new songs.

JENNIE opened the night with “Filter” before launching into Ruby favorites including “Damn Right,” “Mantra,” “Handlebars,” “ZEN,” “Love Hangover,” and “Seoul City.” Massive pyrotechnics, multiple costume changes, dancers, and cinematic visuals transformed the Bud Light Stage into a full-scale arena production.

One of the night’s biggest moments came with “Dracula,” her 2026 remix collaboration with Tame Impala, which has become a streaming success and viral social media favorite. The audience also witnessed the festival debut of “Less than a Lover,” released just last week as the lead single from her upcoming second studio album.

JENNIE then shifted the spotlight toward the future, unveiling four unreleased tracks: “Sweet Tooth,” “Fallen Angel,” “Lock It Down,” and “Heaven.”

The performance drew a massive crowd. Members of i-dle and aespa’s Winter were among those spotted watching from the crowd.

The headline appearance caps an exceptional run for JENNIE. Since releasing Ruby on March 7, 2025, through Odd Atelier and Columbia Records, she has established herself as one of K-pop’s leading solo performers with hits including “Mantra,” “Love Hangover,” “ExtraL,” “Handlebars,” and “like JENNIE.” Earlier this year she also released “Dracula (JENNIE Remix)” with Tame Impala before launching her new era with “Less than a Lover.”

Her festival schedule continues later this month with headline appearances at Summer Sonic in Tokyo and Osaka.
